Affirmation: I know my true heart’s desires.  I AM clear, open and ready for their magic.

Later this week I’m heading to an annual music and art festival in Southern California called Lightning In A Bottle. This will be my second year attending the festival. I was so inspired by the festival last year that I decided I wanted to help build altars at the Temple of Consciousness this year. The Temple of Consciousness is an area of the festival where they have workshops, speakers, yoga, and meditations. They also have beautiful altars all throughout the temple.

My desire to help led me to not just assist with building the altars but to be given the opportunity to have Living Fae build our own altar in the Temple. So later this week Living Fae (Melanie Dawn & Anne Elizabeth) will be heading there to build an altar. Not only are we excited to have this opportunity to share what the divine inspires us to create but we are also very excited to be working along with Brent “Shrine” Spears who is well known for his amazing temples at Burning Man, Lightning In A Bottle, and Coachella. He is also responsible for the design of the interior of the House of Blues chain.

Another highlight of the event for me is having an altar we’ve built be somewhere where Shaman Durek is speaking. Some of you may recall me blogging about Shaman Durek in my Choose Life! post. Shaman Durek is speaking at 10:30am – 11:30am  on Sunday, May 27th ~ Expanding Your Vessel. When I started building altars at public events it was in collaboration with an event Durek was speaking at so its very exciting for me to be in the same space again with him. It’s like we’ve come full circle.

Building altars is most certainly one of my true hearts desires. I love what it invokes in and evokes from me. I love what channels through me. I love how it comes together in the most magical way. I love the stories they tell. But most of all I love what I’ve seen them bring about for others. It’s always music to my heart when I see someone meditating in front of the altar.

Building an altar is a great way to discover your true desires. However, I know that isn’t for everyone.  If you want to tap in and be clear on what your true heart’s desires are then I recommend looking at images, writing a story and making a creative visualization board.

Something about the magic in the above photo spoke to my heart. Looking at it brings a huge smile to my face. It brings out a sense of awe, beauty and wonderment.  And it reminds me of faeries which I love.

What are you true heart’s desires? Do you have a clear vision on them? Do you know you deserve them? Are you ready to receive them?

Start by looking at images and seeing what kind of emotion that image evokes.  You can go through magazines, your own photos, or check out some great places online like Pinterest. Choose the ones that resonate with you on a deep level. Then once you can see how that image has opened your heart let it speak to you. It’s sure to give you an indication of what it is you desire more of. Sometimes it may bring out something you might desire less of. In this exercise focus only on the ones you desire most.

The next step is to collect a series of images and let them tell a story. Get out scrapbook, and tell your story. Begin to journal your story along with the images.  You’re the main character. Write it in the affirmative and present tense as though it were happening now.  Feel excitement, joy, love, tenderness, peace and the beauty of your emotions as you experience the magic of your desires.

One thing I’ve learned through No Plan To Happiness is not just how important it is to imagine and believe in all your dreams and wishes. But mostly importantly you must let go of how you think they should happen and allow life to guide you to them.
