Finding Vibrational Harmony

Affirmation: No matter where I’m going, what I’m doing, I’m focusing on things that make me feel good.

The image above is definitely something that makes me feel good. Experiencing it is  magical, and something I hold very dear to my heart. I designed that with Anne Elizabeth for Living Fae. We put it up at the Sunset Campout every year put on by the Pacific Sound crew from San Francisco; an event that makes me smile just thinking about it.

I was inspired today by a YouTube video of Abraham Hicks talking about setting your vibrational tone and the importance of finding your vibrational harmony with source. Our vibration is key to creating the life we desire, it is key to our happiness. And when our vibration is aligned with source what we focus on manifests. That’s why it is so key to focus your attention on that which you desire and to be in a state of happiness simultaneously.

When we focus on something it shows up more because we make ourselves more aware of it. Just to give you an example listen to this video and try the exercise with Anthony Robbins.

Each of us is ultimately responsible for our own happiness. We make the choice. We can try and attribute it to outside circumstances or how other people are making us feel, but remember, we are the creators of our lives. We set the vibrational tone. So get in the most amazing, blissful, happy, peaceful, loving vibration you can imagine, and do whatever it takes to get there, because I believe its the most important thing worth living for. Remember the work you do on the inside reflects all around you.

And if something throws you off. It’s OK. It happens. Just give yourself a hug and get back to where you know you need to be.

Now, I’m off to Las Vegas tomorrow. It’s a very spontaneous adventure! I got an email yesterday about the You Can Heal Your Life Conference with Louise Hay in Las Vegas this Saturday, January 21st and decided to buy my ticket. If you’ve been reading my blog since the beginning you’ll remember I mentioned it was the book You Can Create  An Exceptional Life by Louise Hay and Cheryl Richardson that inspired me to start the blog. When I saw it I knew I needed to go, and certainly made me feel good.

Remembering to Relax and Breathe

Affirmation: I relax and breathe into life. The more I relax into it, the less resistance I encounter, and the more things open up. I trust life with every breath I take.

Today’s affirmation was inspired by my yoga instructor. In class today she talked a lot about being conscious and aware about where your body was in each pose before you pushed yourself any farther. Then once you had listened and become aware of what your body was telling you, to breathe and relax into it.

She gave a great example of how she discovered how it works too. In her massage practice she had a client who was always asking her to push harder, and she would push and push. He would say he couldn’t feel anything and ask her to push harder. What was happening is that his body would tense up and resist the pressure, so when she would push he wouldn’t feel anything. It just became a battle of wills. One day she decided to take a different approach. She started with gentle pressure, and then when he said to press harder, she just told him to hold on and relax. Once he relaxed her elbow slowly went deeper and deeper. The next day he even called her to let her know he was sore for the first time.

I liked her example because as much as I understand how important it is to breathe and relax in my yoga practice it helped me by bringing more awareness to how it works.

I find that you can take this same approach with life. Whether it’s your body, another person or just something you are experiencing, it’s still working with energy.  The more we relax and breathe into life, the more we trust. When we have trust we allow life to open up in miraculous ways.

So… be chill, relax and breathe.  That’s when life’s miracles happen.

A Higher Place of Being

Affirmation: I follow my dreams by allowing my heart to light the way. I dissolve thoughts, feelings and energies that block me and  I open myself up to a higher place of being.

I wrote this post and then somehow lost what I wrote before I could post it. Funny how the words I had written seem to have dissolved and now I’m left with writing some new ones down. I look at it as an opportunity to express myself from a higher place.

When we can let go of unforgiving thoughts, feelings and energies we not only open ourselves up to a different way to being, but we magically open up and light paths which we could not see before. The best way I can describe this is through my actual dreams.

When I’m dreaming, if I become lucid and know I’m dreaming, I’m able to recognize energies in my dream which I am fearful of. When this happens what I do is send that energy love, and sometimes I laugh with it. When that happens the energy magically transforms. It either disappears or becomes something loving and beautiful. The darkness before me in the dream lightens up and I see the most magical amazing things.

Now we can take this same dream work and incorporate it into our lives. When you notice yourself feeling energies that hold you back from showing love, stop for a moment and send it love, laughing is good to do to. When you do that a whole new way opens itself up to you, and that’s when your dreams can really manifest into more than you ever thought you could dream of.

Let’s Play!

Affirmation: I embrace my inner child today. I let go, have fun and play!

Today I’m heading outdoors to play with my hula hoop.  If you don’t have a hula hoop I definitely suggest getting one. I have a pro hoop. I’m not a pro hooper but I have a pro hoop because its actually a lot easier to hoop with. It’s great for widdling your waist down and strengthening your stomach muscles too!  Even using a less expensive type of hoop is fun to play with too though.

Taking time out to kick up your heels, let go and play is a great way to reward your inner child. It’s important to take care of the child within no matter what your age is. It gives you a fresh perspective on life and opens you up to new opportunities.

So get outside sometime today and play! I know you can think of something that’ll put a big huge smile on your face. Your inner child will thank you and I bet everyone will be telling you how vibrant you look!

Mirror Reflections

Affirmation: I am grateful for the beauty, love and abundance that surrounds me. It is a pure reflection of the beauty within me.

The mirror in the photo is a magic mirror. That’s right. I said magic mirror. It was designed and blessed with the intension that all who look into it see a pure reflection of the beauty that lies within them. On the altar in front of it is Aphordite. The Goddess of Love and Beauty. The words at the top of the mirror say “I AM LOVED.” They were put there so that when you look in the mirror not only do you see your reflection but those words are etched within that reflection as well.

Mirror reflections are great exercises to perform daily. Every time you look in the mirror make affirmations to yourself. The more you make them the more you reflect those affirmations. Say them even if you don’t believe them yourself at first, because just because you can’t see them yet, doesn’t mean they aren’t true.

I’ve used mirror reflections to boost my self confidence, gain strength and simply to just love myself more. I know they work. So when you look in the mirror focus on your true reflection, it’s divine and very happy to see you!

It’s a Lovelee Day

Affirmation: I embody and reflect the energy of the Goddess Kwan Yin, Bodhisattva of Compassion. I love myself, my loved ones and life unconditionally.

I’ve built many Kwan Yin altars over the years. She’s one of my favorite to work with. She is the Goddess of Compassion and Mercy. The divine female Buddha whose name means “she who hears the cries of the world.” Kwan Yin is an ascended master who chose to remain in the earthly realms until all other living souls have completed their  own enlightenment.

I have found that working with her energy has taught me to be more accepting and compassionate both towards others and myself. Often we can be quite hard on ourselves and when I look to Kwan Yin, she alway reminds me to forgive and treat myself with more gentle compassion.  Just looking at her statue in this picture makes me smile and soften my energy. She brings about a sense of kindness doesn’t she?

When you go about your day today. Think of Kwan Yin and feel her energy. You can’t help but feel loved for everything that you are! And when you feel that way you reflect that out to the world around you reminding others that they too are loved for everything they are.

Walking With Light and Love


Affirmation: I am grounded and centered with love for Mother Earth.  I move forward on my journey with calm, balanced energy. I touch the ground with full awareness in each step I take.

Have you ever done a walking meditation? The first time I did one I was on a retreat hiking in Big Sur, CA. It really taught me to be in the present moment and aware of the ground beneath me in every step I took; because as you take each step you stay conscious of your feet, and ensure that every part of your foot meets the ground.

When we walk we are fully supported by the ground beneath us. It hugs our feet in every step we take. I think very often a lot of us take this for granted. Its good to notice how supported we are by Mother Earth. I find doing this exercise helps remind and wake me up to my connection with Gaia. I also notice I am more gentle with each of my steps, and it seems to reflect a calmer, more gentle me.

Take some time today to pay attention to each step you take. Do a walking meditation and see what it leads you to discover.  Remember to stay conscious and breathe. As you take each step be sure each part of your foot touches the ground.

Peace of Mind

Affirmation: I am peaceful. I live according to my inner guidance and I serve to bring light, love and healing to myself and others.

I had a little help from Doreen Virtue’s Healing with the Fairies and Angels Oracle Cards for today’s affirmation. It rings very true today for me, and as I wrote it I could feel gentle, peaceful energy both inside and all around me.

The more I center myself in this state of being, the more content and happy I seem to feel. It’s like being hugged by a soft warm blanket. I’m going to be sure to stay aware and carry this energy with me throughout the day today. I hope it inspires you to do the same.

It’s a bright, beautiful, sunny Sunday in San Francisco today! Enjoy your day where ever you are. May you have peace of mind and know you are loved and supported!

Being Aware of The Law of Attraction

Affirmation: I am aware of my exceptional life. No matter where I am, I see and feel it in all its perfection. I am in love with my amazing life.

If you read yesterday’s post you would have saw that I was going to post the results of Happy Friday later in the day. Well…. later in the day rolled into today. 🙂

What I found was that whenever I said Happy Friday to someone it was returned with a huge smile. Whether is was the lady standing solemly at the bus stop who said, “Hey Baby!” back to me, or the homeless man digging through the garbage who told me to “Have a great weekend!” It always came back with a big smile. A smile I didn’t see before I said it. And seeing them smile really made my heart feel all warm and fuzzy. Then this morning my yoga instructor greated us with, “Happy Saturday!” Coincidence? As far as I’m concerned there is no such thing as a coincidence. I believe its a lesson in Law of Attraction. What we put out there comes back, and the universe likes to show us in a variety of different ways. We just need to be aware in the present moment.

If you know about “The Secret” you know about The Law of Attraction. I knew about the Law of Attraction long before The Secret though. It was something I learned through my spiritual studies over 20 years ago. What I can tell you is The Law of Attraction is a universal law and it does work. So be sure to stay conscious of your thoughts and feelings. Take notice of what you are thinking when you are feeling certain feelings and vice versa, because the universe doesn’t place judgement, it just responds according to the combined energy and the power behind that energy.

What do you want to attract in your life?

Remember you have an amazing life. Start with the awareness of recognizing you have it and the rest is just about simmering the ingrediants to perfection.

10 Ten Steps to a Brighter Day

Affirmation: Love is all around me. It comes in many different forms. Life loves and supports me.

I got some news today.

Not exactly the news I wanted to hear but it was an answer to something I’ve been waiting to hear on. Did it make me happy? Well, because it wasn’t the news I wanted to hear I can’t say I was super ecstatic over it, but the thing is, I’m not relying on these types of things to control my state of happiness. Instead I’m just accepting it for what it is and not letting it get me down. We often want the things outside ourselves to make us happy, but as you learn in every self help book out there and in life in general, true happiness really does come from within.

Our thoughts control how we feel, and if we let things we don’t like or don’t want to hear control how we feel then we aren’t allowing life to be the guide. Now I will say that despite the not so great news I got, Life did bring me something else that has the potential to turn into something very exciting. More to come on that on later date though.

In the meantime, in the present moment, I’ve got little Raidar Brown (as seen the photo above) sitting in my lap staring up at me as I write this. Now how could I not feel how much love life has for me? Knowing that life is giving me this much love is one of the most beautiful feelings in the world. So… if things are getting you down, if you are feeling a little unloved, mad, annoyed or just plain frustrated follow these ten steps. They always work for me, I dare you to try them. 

1) Stop!

2) Shut your eyes.

3) Take a big breath. 1 – 2 – 3…

4) Think of someone or something you love unconditionally.

5) Feel the love in your heart.

6) Now open your eyes and see what the first thing is you gaze upon. Maybe its a tree, a bird, the sun, a person, or even just some inaminate object.

7) Send love to it.

8) Feel the love you get in return.

9) See you are loved.

10) Now go about your day and take note of all the good things happening to you, no matter how small or big they may seem.

Enjoy your day! And may the littlest things turn into some of the brightest!
